I am a transmedia storyteller. I tell stories mainly as a recording artist, but I also work in other areas like film and video, theatre, creative writing, photography and web design.
I bring an authentic and often unfiltered perspective to my craft as an artist, yet I strive to improve on the overall quality of each new work. I seek out projects that are fresh and different from what I have been exposed to previously. This is how I grow and evolve as a life-long learner.
My signature music style was once described as resembling what one would hear if one could listen to a Salvador Dalí painting.
I often illustrate a feeling of fantasy through the use of unexpected synthesized sounds, original vocalizations and slightly busier, less traditional chord progressions. This flamboyance is my trademark.
A colleague of mine once said, "If there's one thing I could say about your songwriting is that you truly are not afraid to write about anything." I feel this is an accurate description of my dedication to and love for the craft of songwriting and music-making. After all, I am a storyteller.
I believe education is a vital component in the cultivation and development of our lives. At some point, we become evolved enough in our journey that we realize we must make a commitment to a life of learning. This commitment is a decision attached to a great responsibility to share and interact with others in order to culminate a world view or perspective. I have made this commitment.
In smaller words, it's not enough to just get a couple of degrees and call it a day. It's my responsibility to take what I have learned and create great work that benefits society in an impactful way. This is my ultimate goal as an artist, a transmedia storyteller, and a regular human being.
