The Veleveteen Rabbit was written and directed by Katie Mangett. Music and lyrics by John Paul Sharp. The show was produced by the Curtains Up Theatre Company in Wheatridge, Colorado. Working with and for children was a new experience for me and I became so much better for it! We were able to sell out over ten performances.

I’m so bored, nothing can help!
Movies, games and toys don’t help!
Surely there is something else to keep me satisfied, for now.
None of my friends are around.
They have all gone out of town.
I am left here by myself to try and pass the time, for now.
Give me laughter, give me tears,
I want drama, cheers and jeers!
Surely, there is something I can do to pass the time, for now.
